UK to hold trade talks with US on September 8th

UK Trade Minister Greg Hands said today that UK will start a new round of trade talks with the US on September 8th, the third round since negotiations began in May.

"We are talking with all parts of the American political system," Hands noted, adding that the UK wants to win the support of members of Congress from both major US political parties Previously, Britain's Secretary of State for International Trade Liz Truss said there was no deadline for the trade agreement.

The UK is set to formally exit the EU at the end of the year when the transition period ends, while the US will hold presidential elections on November 3rd.
